On 17 July, Union Pacific (UNP) increased its quarterly dividend by 3.08%, from $1.30 to $1.34 per
share.
The dividend will be paid on 30 September to shareholders of record on 30
August. The ex-dividend date is 30 August.
UNP's contribution to DivGro's projected annual dividend income will
increase by $16 to $536.
I own 100 shares of UNP at an average cost basis of $177.90 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost
is 3.01%. (UNP's forward yield is 2.23% at $240.36 per share).
Since I opened my UNP position in September 2018, the stock has produced
annualized total returns of 14%, including $1,579.40 in dividend
income.
