On 22 August, Altria (MO) increased its quarterly dividend by 4.08%, from 98¢ to $1.02 per
share.
The dividend will be paid on 10 October to shareholders of record on 16
September. The ex-dividend date is 16 September.
MO's contribution to DivGro's projected annual dividend income will
increase by $48 to $1,224.
I own 300 shares of MO at an average cost basis of $45.84 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost
is 8.90%. (MO's forward yield is 7.78% at $52.44 per share).
Since I opened my MO position in January 2014, the stock has produced total returns of 49%, including $4,792.32 in dividend
income.
