On 5 September, Verizon Communications (VZ) increased its quarterly dividend by 1.88%, from 66.50¢ to 67.75¢ per
share.
The dividend will be paid on 1 November to shareholders of record on 10
October. The ex-dividend date is 10 October.
VZ's contribution to DivGro's projected annual dividend income will
increase by $25 to $1355.
I own 500 shares of VZ at an average cost basis of $46.82 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost
is 5.79%. (VZ's forward yield is 6.12% at $44.26 per share).
Since I opened my VZ position in September 2009, the stock has produced total returns of 11%, including $2,458.90 in dividend
income.
