On 17 September, Microsoft (MSFT) increased its quarterly dividend by 10.67%, from 75¢ to 83¢ per
share.
The dividend will be paid on 12 December to shareholders of record on 21
November. The ex-dividend date is 21 November.
MSFT's contribution to DivGro's projected annual dividend income will
increase by $25.60 to $265.60.
I own 80 shares of MSFT at an average cost basis of $31.76 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost
is 10.45%. (MSFT's forward yield is 0.77% at $433.51 per share).
Since I opened my MSFT position in August 2013, the stock has produced total returns of 1,331%, including $1,682.20 in dividend
income.
MSFT became DivGro's 7th Home Run stock in October 2016, when the stock doubled my original capital
outlay. It is DivGro's first and only
Ten Bagger.
